The Church of St. Nicholas the Poor-first mention of this place was made in 1660, but the church was built in the early nineteenth century, one of the largest in the region. With the relocation of entire city for the construction of the Iron Gate reservoir, church along with all associated buildings were demolished and rebuilt on the current site. Later the church was declared a historical monument.
