Intro

Once you spell the name of the park, you`re thinking at the various attraction, naturals and influenced by man, the interest regarding visiting those objectives made by God increases.

“Leg”(cracul) Gaioara covers 5 hectare, located in the eastern side of the park and it is a botanical reservation protecting relics tertiary.

Oglanic Valley covers 150 hectare, it`s a natural reservation with botanical profile hosting a unique specie- Gladiolus illyricus, but many others species.

Cracul Crucii ocupa o suprafata de 2 ha in dreptul barajului, avand un profil botanic si este de o rara valoare, fiind conservata si denumita de localnici “Crucea Sfantului Petru”.

Duhovnei Hill it`a an area with forest profile and covers around 50 hectare and aims to protect ancient forests of Corylus Colurna and Quercus Petraea named “osieci” forests.

The Isle of the Old Moldavia is an area with bird profile, covers 1627 hectare of which 345 hectare are illustrated by the island itself, situated on the Danube. In this protected area you can notice arboreal elements and 72 birds species belonging to 30 families of 14 orders, and 28 of those are included in the directive regarding birds conservation.

The Water Cave from Polevii Valley covers 3,2 hectare, includes the cave and a generous surface where you can find a improvement plot of the New Moldavia Forestry District.

Divici-Pojojena is an area with birds potential which covers 498 hectare where you can fin rarely Salix Alba and Populus Alba.

The Calinovat Island is situated on the Danube bordering island and surface of the water to a depth of 2 meters, with an area of 24 hectare and bird profile, where you can see forests with Salix Alba consistency.
