Big Valley

The protected area of the Big Valley has a botanical profile and covers 1179 hectare and is in the basin of the Big Valley. The importance of this zone is given by an important species present here “Big Ivy”(Hedera Helix). Also there are a variety of trees and plants which covers 400 hectare: Quercus cerris, Quercus pubescens, carpinus orientalis, Populus alba, Populus nigra, Tamarix tetrandra, Cerastiun banaticum, Astragalus rochelianus, Cotinus coggygria, Tulipa hungarica, Padus mahaleb, Ruscus aculeatus, Ruscus hypoglossum, Vitis sylvestris

You will also discover a complex relief developed on limestones and a number of 45 caves, of which Outlawry Mouth (Gura Haiduceasca, 1370 meters length) and Red Pothole( Avenul Rosu, 149 meters length).
