Railway access can be achieved in 900 (Bucharest - Timisoara), stations access the Turnu Severin, Orsova or Resita (continued traveling is done by bus).
Access by car in the Danube Gorge is by:
• Turnu Severin where is followed by Orsova E70 European road (about 25 km) and then national road DN 57 to Moldova Noua (104 km from Orsova)
• Resita where you will go to Oravita, then DN 57 through Naidăş to Moldova Noua
Another access road between Resita and Moldova Noua, more picturesque, but hardly practicable, is passing through villages Sasca Carbunari Montana.
Access within the area is mainly mountainous forest roads and utilities, modernized.
Waterway access: river ports near the Iron Gates Natural Park are Turnu Severin, Orsova, Moldova Veche, Sichevita and Drencova. Unfortunately there are no passenger flights.
